Abstract: The historical data of leprosy villages in Beihai City and the data of leprosy villages in the National Leprosy Management Information System (LEPMIS) were analyzed. In Beihai City, there is a municipal and county skin protection agency co-managing the leprosy village, currently living 98 recuperators and their families, including 79 cured survivors and one present patient, with an average age of 73.3 years old, 88.6% have deformity, and 63% had mobility difficulties. There was one full-time management staff, 9 medical staff. All the recuperators in the village have medical security and minimum security. The quality of life and basic medical services of recuperators are guaranteed, but the management model needs to be innovative.
