Abstract: A 4-year-old girl presented with systemic dryness, erythema, scaling and exudation immediately after birth. Her hairs and eyebrows were sparse and the skin groove was seen around the mouth. Flake, annular or multi-annular red patches were seen on both hands and feet, with small gray “bilateral” scales around. Bamboo-like changes of the hair were seen under the light microscope. Eosinophil count and serum IgE were increased in routine blood test. The diagnosis of Netherton syndrome was made. The patient was treated with moisturizer.
