Abstract: Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety between single needle radiofrequency (RF) and red-blue light combined with needle cleaning in the treatment of facial moderate vulgaris acne. Methods: The patients with facial moderate acne vulgaris were recruited and divided into the RF group and control group. The patients in the RF group were treated with single needle radiofrequency and the patients in the control group were treated with red-blue light combined with needle cleaning for eight weeks. The efficacy and safety were assessed. Results: Forty patients were recruited from August to December 2019 including 20 in the RF group and 20 in the control group. 12 patients were cured and remarkably improved in the RF group, which was more than that in the control group, with a significant difference (P>0.05). 14 patients in the RF group were highly satisfied for the treatment. There was no side effects in all the patients. Conclusion: Single needle radiofrequency therapy is more safe and effective for the facial moderate acne  vulgaris than the traditional treatment of red-blue light combined with needle cleaning.
