Abstract:

Penicillin is the first line drug in the treatment of syphilis. However, by virtue of brilliantly pharmacological and pharmacokinetic characters, ceftriaxone will be the most likely to become the substitute for penicillin in syphilis treatment. The update of ceftriaxone in the treatment of syphilis was reviewed.
