Abstract: Atopic dermatitis is a chronic, recurrent inflammatory dermatological disease characterized by persistent eczematous lesions and severe pruritus. Its pathogenesis is very complex. Recent research has found that oral microecological imbalance participates in the pathogenesis of atopic dermatitis through direct or indirect ways. In recent years, with the development of multi-omics technology, the relationship between the oral microbiota and atopic dermatitis has gradually attracted attention. This review aims to explore the role of the oral microbiota in atopic dermatitis and review it from the perspectives of metagenomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics and proteomics.
