Eccrine hidrocystomas: a report of 6 cases and literature review

Abstract: Six cases of multiple eccrine hidrocystomas including one male child and five middle-aged and old women were reported and related literatures were reviewed. The course of the disease in those patients was 1-9 years. All 6 cases showed multiple papules on the face,ranging from 2 to 5 mm in diameter, and some of the papules with light blue and transparent appearance. Biopsy showed enlarged cystic ducts and lumen in the dermis lined by two layers of cuboidal cells or one layer of flat cells. Two patients improved after laser treatment and relapsed after 10 months of treatment, two were not treated and two were lose to follow up.
