Unilateral distribution of erythema dyschromicum perstans: a case report

Abstract: A 40-year-old female presented with  brown-gray macules and patches in the right lower limb for more than 6 months. Histopathology showed mild epidermal atrophy, vacuolar degeneration of basal cell, a large number of phagocytic cells with sparse inflammatory cell infiltration in the superficial dermis. A diagnosis of erythema dyschromicum perstans was made. The patient was treated with topical 0.1% tacrolimus  for 1 month, and the rash became slightly lighter in color.
