Abstract: I did not expect to be one of the first group of medical staff infected with the virus in the Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic. In the 7 days since January 22, 2020, I have experienced sudden chills, high fever, extreme fatigue, headache, diarrhea, cough, asthma, and difficulty breathing; I have experienced changes from uneasy and despair to calmness. Because during the initial outbreak, a large number of patients could not be admitted to the hospital in time. I can only choose home quarantine and purchasing medicines for treatment. Later, my body temperature returned to normal level and those symptoms gradually disappeared. I have described the process during home quarantine, and based on my own experience, I summarized some experiences in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19, which including: patients cannot deliberately conceal medical history, why choose home quarantine, when to seek medical guidance and hospitalization, how to select antiviral treatment options, nutrition and rest during home quarantine, thinking about transmission routes and herd strategies. I hope these experiences can provide references for colleagues and welcome any criticism.
