Irritant contact dermatitis caused by ranunculus: a case report

Abstract: A 76-year-old female presented with erythema, vesicles, erosion, exudate on her waist, back, rump and thigh with pain for 4 days after contacted with mashed ranunculu. The diagnosis of irritant contact dermatitis was made. The patient was treated with oral ebastine and levettirizine hydrochloride tablets, intravenous infusion of methylprednisolone, 60 mg, once a day and the lesions disappeared after 19 days treatment.
