Mucinous nevus: a case report

Abstract: A 28-year-old male presented with multiple brown papules and plaques on the right waist for 10 years. Physical examination showed millet to broad bean size brown papules and plaques in the right waist and abdomen, partially fusing into pieces. Skin biopsy showed hyperkeratosis with keratosis and acanthosis, verrucous hyperplasia, epidermal ridges prolonged, infiltration of scattered lymphoid cells and histocytes in the superficial dermis. Alcian blue staining was positive. The diagnosis of mucinous nevus was made. The patient refused treatment.
