Chromoblastomycosis caused by Fonsecaea pedrosoi: a case report

Abstract: A 62-year-old male presented with erythema nodule on the left lower limb for more than 10 years, gradually aggravated for one year. Biopsy showed scattered brown spore like structure in the dermis. PAS staining showed round, thick-walled hard shell bodies in the dermis. The fungal culture showed Fonsecaea. The genetic sequencing showed Fonsecaea pedrosoi.
