Phytophotodermatitis: a case report

Abstract: A 49-year-old famale presented with edematous erythematous plaques with itching on the backs of the fingers and face after eating phototoxic plants for 4 hours and being exposed to sunlight for 1 hour. The lesions developedrapidly and difficulty breathing and unconsciousness appeared. The treatment included avoiding sunlight, oral administration of prednisone and cetirizinel tabletsetc, and topicl use of local 3% boric acid solution wet compress, fusidic acid cream and Tramixin cream. One month later, the lesions on the face and neck almost subsided with no obvious scar.
