Cutaneous Tropheryma whipplei infection: a case report

Abstract: A 62-year-old male presented with multiple subcutaneous nodules on the left waist and left thigh for 10 mouths. Dermatological examination showed multiple subcutaneous nodules touched on the left waist and left thigh, and there was a small opening in the center of the lateral nodule of left thigh, with a little yellowish white pus. Histopathology showed granulomatous inflammation with large necrosis and small abscess. Gene detection of infectious pathogens showed Tropheryma whipplei. The diagnosis of Tropheryma whipplei infection was made. Surgical resection was performed.
