Rheumatoid arthritis combined with cutaneous tuberculosis with ulceration: a case report

Abstract: A 64-year-old female presented with erythema on both forearms and dorsum of hands with swollen, ulcerated and purulent for 8 months. The patient has a history of rheumatoid arthritis. Pathologic examination showed that acid-fast bacterium. The case was diagnosed as rheumatoid arthritis, bilateral forearm skin tuberculosis with infection and treated with rifampicin, amoxicillin, clavulanate potassium, isoniazid, ethambutol, pyrazinamide, bicyclol and traditional Chinese medicine. The condition of the case gradually improved.
