Application of retinoids in dermatology

Abstract: Retinoids are a kind of derivatives of vitamin A, and have an important role in regulating cell proliferation and differentiation, regulating immunity, inhibiting-inflammation, reducing sebaceous gland secretion, and inducing cell apoptosis. Retinoids are currently divided into four generations and widely used in psoriasis and inflammatory dermatoses, disorders of the sebaceous and apocrine glands, disorders of epidermal differentiation and keratinization, premalignant and malignant lesinons and other diseases. Topical retinoids cause skin reactions, and the adverse reactions of systemic retinoids dermatherapy mainly include mucocutaneous effects, teratogenicity, musculoskeletal effects and impacts on liver function and lipid levels.
