Abstract: Non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) associated with genodermatoses mainly includes squamous cell carcinoma and basal cell carcinoma. This kind of malignant tumor is secondary to hereditary skin diseases, generally with familial aggregation, and also has the characteristics of early onset age, multiple lesions and easy recurrence. At present, surgical treatment is often used, but there are many disadvantages, such as large trauma, easy recurrence and poor tolerance. Photodynamic therapy (PDT) can target kill the tumors and pathologically hyperplastic tissues, and it is gaining popularity for the treatment of NMSC. Update of PDT for the NMSC associated with genodermatoses is reviewed in this paper.
