Kaposi varicelliform eruption due to varicella zoster virus: a case report

Abstract: Kaposi's varicella-like eruption is mostly caused by herpes simplex virus type 1, and rarely caused by varicella-zoster virus. We report a case of Kaposi's varicella-like eruption caused by varicella-zoster virus There were still new blisters after the treatment of pemphigoid at the initial stage of admission. Based on histopathological examination and pathogen metagenomics test, the patient was positive for varicella-zoster virus. We revised the diagnosis as Kaposi varicelliform eruption. The patient was cured after antiviral treatment.
