Abstract: Objective: To detect thyroid function and autoantibodies, and to determine their relationship with chronic urticaria. Methods: Clinical data were collected, and thyroid function, autoantibody and TGAb/TPOAb were detected with direct chemical luminescence in 91 patients with chronic urticaria and 78 healthy donors. Results: The positivity rates of TGAb and TPOAb thyroid autoantibody in the patients with chronic urticaria was 13.19% and 15.38%, which was higher than those in the control group (2.56% and 10.26%), with a significant difference (P<0.05), especially the TGAb. The episodes of wheals in the patients with thyroid dysfunction was higher than those with euthyroidism (P<0.05). Conclusions: Thyroid autoimmunity may be related to the pathogenesis of chronic urticaria, while thyroid function may be associated with the severity of the disease.
