Abstract: Objective: To detect the level of IL-35 and IL-17 in the patients with chronic urticaria (CU). Methods: The levels of IL-35 and IL-17 in 60 patients and 60 controls were detected by ELISA and the severity of the patients was assessed by urticaria activity score (UAS) grade standard. The correlation between the level of serum IL-35 and IL-17, and CU severity scores was analyzed. Results: The serum level of IL-35 in the patients was 46.73±17.19ng/L, which was lower than that in the controls (73.78±25.51ng/L). The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The serum level of IL-17 in the patients was18.03±8.88ng/L, which was higher than that in the controls (8.46±3.29 ng/L). The difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). The CU severity score was negatively correlated to the level of IL-35 and positively to the level of IL-17 (P<0.05). Conclusion: The expression of IL-35 and IL-17 may be involved in the onset and severity of CU.
