Abstract: Objective: To determine the change of the level of T lymphocyte subsets, NK cells plasma and sHLA-G in the patients with recurrent genital herpes (RGH) before and after treatment. Methods: The level of plasma sHLA-G was detected by the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay and the levels of T lymphocyte subsets and NK cells were detected by the flow cytometry in 60 patients. Result: The level of NK cells in the patients before and after treatment was 15.01±5.89 % and 17.72±5.56 %, with a significant difference (P<0.05). The level of sHLA-G was 11.03±14.57 U/mL and 0.41±0.45 U/mL, with a significant difference (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in the levels of CD3+ cells, CD4+T cells, CD8+T cells and CD4+/CD8+ in the patients before and after treatment. Conclusion: sHLA-G and NK cells may be related to the development of RGH.
