Abstract: Objective: To detect the level of Th17 and Th22 and the expression of related cytokines including IL-17, IL-22 and IL-6 in of the patients with psoriasis vulgaris. Methods: The disease severity was evaluated by PASI scores. The levels of peripheral blood Th17 and Th22 cells in 40 patients and 30 healthy controls were detected by flow cytometry. The levels of serum IL-17, IL-22 and IL-6 were detected by ELISA. Results: The levels of Th17, Th22, IL-17,IL-22 and IL-6 in the patients with psoriasis vulgaris were higher than those in healthy controls (P<0.01) and were positively correlated with PASI scores (P<0.05). Conclusions: Th17 and Th22 cells may be involved in the pathogenesis of psoriasis vulgaris.
