Abstract: Objective: To detect Mycoplasma genitalium (Mg) in the patients with urogenital tract infection in Haikou city. Methods: Four hundred and forty secretion swabs and 178 urine specimens from 618 patients (255 males and 363 females) with urogenital tract infection were detected by simultaneous amplification and testing (SAT). Results: Mg total positivity rate was 3.23% in 618 patients. Mg positivity rates of urine and secretion swabs were 3.64% and 2.25%, with no significant difference (P>0.05). Mg positivity rates in males and females were 2.35% and 3.86%, with no significant difference (P>0.05). There was no significant difference of Mg positivity rate between different age groups (P>0.05). Conclusion: Secretion swabs and urine specimen , gender and age may be not the key factors of Mg positivity rate.
