Abstract: Objective: To assess the efficacy and safety of rb-bFGF gel combined with compound triamcinolone acetonide and econazole nitrate cream in the treatment of facial eczema. Methods: One hundred and seven patients with facial eczema were enrolled and randomly divided into the treatment group (57 patients) and control group (50 patients). The patients in the control group were treated with compound triamcinolone acetonide alone and the patients in the treatment group were treated with additional rb-bFGF gel. Results: After 2 weeks treatment, the total score of the signs and symptoms of the patients in the treatment group was 1.23±1.65, which was lower than that in the control group (2.22±2.14), with a significant difference (P<0.05). The effective rate in the treatment group was 87.72%, which was higher than that in the control group (70%), with a significant difference (P<0.05). There was no obvious adverse reactions in both groups of the patients. Conclusion: rb-bFGF gel combined with compound triamcinolone acetonide and econazole cream in the treatment of facial eczema is more effective than compound triamcinolone acetonide and econazole alone.
