Analysis of 15418 patients with superficial mycoses by direct microscope

Abstract: Objective: To analyze the superficial mycoses from dermatology department in our hospital from 2016 to 2017. Methods: The data of 15418 patients detected for superficial mycoses was analyzed respectively. Results: The total positivity rate of the specimens was 47.78% (direct microscope). The most common disease was tinea versicolor (78.95%), followed by pityrosporum folliculitis (65.47%) and onychomycosis (62.85%). Conclusion: The positivity rate of tinea versicolor is the most highest of the superficial mycoses in dermatology department of our hospital.
