Abstract: Objective: To analyze the accuracy of HIV antibody testing with different tests in Nanjing from 2012 to 2017. Methods: Six thousand seven hundred and seventy-four samples which were positive with primary screening test for HIV were reexamined through ELISA and JB-P reagent. And then, the reexamined positive specimens were confirmed by Western blot (WB). Results: Of 6774 samples, 4821 were both positive with ELISA and JB-P reagent. Of 4821 samples, 4736 were positive with WB, 3 were negative and 82 were uncertained. Out of 97 positive samples tested with ELISA or JB-P, 3 were positive with WB, 51 were negative and 43 were uncertained. The uncertainty rates from 2012 to 2017 were 1.5%,1.8%, 1.9%,2.2%, 2.3% and 2.6%. Conclusion: The increase in the number of false positivity in screening laboratories should be concrened. As uncertainty rate is increasing year by year, it is necessary to develop new HIV tests for the identification of HIV infections.
