Abstract: Objective: To identify the correctness of congenital syphilis cases reported in National Disease Prevention and Control (DC) and Prevention of Maternal to Child Transmission (PMTCT) information system in 2015 in Anhui. Methods: The data of the patients with congenital syphilis from 5 cities with highest number in the reporting systems was analyzed. Results: After correcting omission and repetition, there were 194 syphilis cases reported in the DC information system. Of 194 cases, 4 (2.1%) with congenital syphilis, 8 (4.1%) with noncongenital syphilis and 182 (93.8%) were suspected. One case with congenital syphilis was reported in PMTCT information system. Conclusions: The cases reported in PMTCT information system were too few, while most reported in Network Reporting System of Infection Disease were suspected cases. Therefore, the cases reported through the two systems can not be used to calculate the incidence rate of congenital syphilis.
