Abstract: Objective: To investigate the status of?cured?leprosy survivors in Huian City. Methods: Cured?leprosy patients were investigated about income, living situation, labor capacity, chronic diseases, disabilities, rehabilitation demand and status. Results: Eight hundred and seventy seven cured?leprosy survivors were collected, Among the 177 patients the male-to-female sex ratio was 2.86:1 the average age was 70.18±10.05years old. 15.28% cured?leprosy survivors were unmarried, 19.95% was living along, 9.46% had the need for living in leprosy hospital, but only 2.62% were hospitalized, 56.90% totally or partially lost ability to work and 54.38% had a income less than 5000 RMB per year. The total prevalence of chronic diseases and disability was 32.61% and 50.63%. The prevalence of chronic diseases among the disabled was 53.61%, which was higher than that among the non-disabled (30.48%). Conclusion: The living condition of cured?leprosy patients is poor. Rehabilitation need is high and more support from the whole society is needed.
