Cutaneous tuberculosis on the buttocks: a case report

Abstract: A 54-year-old male presented with dark red plaques on the right buttocks for 6 years. The patients have been misdiagnosed as tinea cruris and eczema with no efficacy after treatment. The fungal test was negative and PPD test was strong positive (+++). Biopsy showed infectious granulomas. The diagnosis of cutaneous tuberculosis on the buttocks was made according to the clinical manifestations and biopsy features. The lesions were improved after anti-tuberculosis therapy.
