Syphilis mimicking generalized eczema: a case report and literature review

Abstract: A 68-year-old female presented with generalized eczema with severe itching for more than 10 years. The TP and RPR tests were positive and the titer of RPR test was 1∶128. The lesions disappeared completely within 3 weeks after benzine penicillin treatment. This patient's lesions are atypical, which makes challenge for diagnosis. The relevant literature was reviewed.
