Abstract: Objective: To analyze the epidemiological features of syphilis in Guangxi Province from 2010 to 2019 and provide a basis for developing efficient preventive strategies. Methods: The data of syphilis cases between 2010 and 2019 in Guangxi were collected from the Disease Surveillance Information Reporting System and analyzed with the descriptive epidemiological method. Results: The reported incidence of syphilis decreased from 82.41/105 in 2010 to 37.24/105 in 2019, and the average annual decline rate was 8.45%. The reported incidence of primary and secondary syphilis annually decreased by 22.84%, and congenital syphilis decreased by 37.25%. The high-prevalence areas were Fangchenggang, Beihai, Chongzuo and Qinzhou. The incidence of syphilis peaked in the population aged from 30 to 34 years old, and aged over 50 years old. The annual average reported incidence of syphilis in the 15-19 years old age group was increased by 5.77%. More than a half of the reported syphilis cases were farmers, accounting for 54.00% in 2010 and 66.46% in 2019. Conclusion: The incidence of reported syphilis showed a decreasing trend, but it was still necessary to strengthen syphilis prevention and control measures in border areas, teenagers and farmers.
