Abstract: Rice body synovitis is rare, and the pathogenesis and treatment remain unclear. We report one case in this paper. A 55-year-old female presented with subcutaneous masses on the dorsal side of the left wrist that gradually increased in size over 1 year. The patient underwent surgical treatment. During the operation, the tumor was found to be attached to the tendon and contained a large number of rice granules. After the 2-week follow-up, the wound healed well, the wrist extension and flexion activity were normal, and there was no recurrence.
