Psoriasis with Sjögren's syndrome and anti-synthetase syndrome: a case report

Abstract: This report presents a case of a patient hospitalized due to generalized scattered dark red papules with desquamation for over 7 months, aggravated for 2 months, complicated with dry mouth, dry eyes. Laboratory tests showed positive for antinuclear antibody, weakly positive for anti-SSA antibody, strongly positive for anti-Ro-52 protein antibody (+++),strongly positive for anti-PL-7 antibody (+++); salivary glycoprotein antigen KL-6 was 842 U/mL; chest CT revealed interstitial pneumonia. Lesion and labial gland biopsy confirmed psoriasis and Sj?gren's syndrome.The final diagnosis was psoriasis, Sj?gren's syndrome, and anti-synthetase syndrome. The patient recovered well after treatment with secukinumab and tacrolimus. This case involves multiple autoimmune diseases including psoriasis, Sj?gren's syndrome, and anti-synthetase syndrome, which has not been previously reported in the literature. We summarize and report this case to enhance clinical physicians' awareness of such conditions.
