Abstract: Objective: To determine the common allergens of eyelid dermatitis. Methods: The patch test results of 155 patients with eyelid dermatitis diagnosed in 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. Results: Of 155 patients with eyelid dermatitis, the  patch test was positive in 85 patients (54.8%). Twentyseven cases (31.8%) were positive to one allergen, 19 (22.4%) to two allergens, 14 (16.5%) to three allergens, and 25 cases (29.4%) to four allergens or more. The first three allergens with high positivity rate were nickel sulfate (24 cases, 9.4%), methylisothiazolinone (24 cases, 9.4%) and textile dye mixture (14 cases, 5.5%). The positivity rates in  different age groups of <20, 20-39, 40-59, ≥60 years old were 37.5%,54.2%,65.0% and 18.2%, with a significant difference among the four groups (P<0.05). Conclusion: Methylisothiazolinone, nickel sulfate, textile dye mixture, cobalt chloride are the most common allergens in the patients with eyelid dermatitis in our hospital, and the positivity rate of allergens is correlated with the age.
