Analysis of clinical data of 110 cases bited by fire ant on a reclaimed reef of South China Sea

Abstract: The data of the soldiers bited by fire ant on a reclaimed reef of South China Sea from Health Statistics Report and the outpatient records of the hospital on island from January 2019 to January 2020 were analyzed respectively. One hundred and ten cases were collected. Of the patients, 11 cases developed anaphylactic, 71 cases had moderate allergy while 28 patients had mild allergy. The sites of the bite were hands in 41 cases, legs and feet in 60 cases, face and neck in 9 cases. The sites of the bite were most on exposed area and some patients had severe symptoms. The anti-termites and defense action should be carried out.
