AIDS with seborrheic dermatitis as the first manifestation: a case report

Abstract: A 57-year-old male presented with erythema and scales with itching on the head, face, neck, forechest and both lower limbs for one year and aggravated for more than 10 days. Malassezia was found under fungal microscopy. The primary screening and confirmatory test of antibody against human immunodeficiency virus were positive. Diagnosis of AIDS and seborrheic dermatitis was made. The patient was given oral itraconazole capsule, topical luliconazole cream. The patient was transferred to the CDC of Jilin Province for the further treatment of AIDS.
