Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans misdiagnosed as lipoma: a case report

Abstract: A 45-year-old male presented with a mass on the right chest for 6 years. The mass was located in subcutaneous, soft, with no pain or discomfort. The Ultrasound B showed the lesion be likely to lipomyoma, and the patient was not given treatment. The pathological examination showed a spindle cell tumor derived from soft tissue. The diagnosis of dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans was made. The patient was given extended radical operation of the tumor.
