Adalimumab combined with glucocorticoid in the treatment of one pediatric case of Stevens-Johnson syndrome and review of the literature

Abstract: One pediatric patient with Stevens-Johnson syndrome successfully treated by adalimumab combined with glucocorticoids is reported and relevant literatures are reviewed. A 6-year-old girl with scattered erythema, blisters all over the body with fever for 4 days. She was treated with methylprednisolone 40mg, once daily for 7 days and human immunoglobulin 10g, once daily for 5 days. The skin lesions were not improved. The patient were treated with adalimumab 40mg and 20mg at day 7 and day 14 after admission, and the skin lesions gradually subsided.
