Pigmented dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans: a case report

Abstract: A 40-year-old female presented with a 6-year history of an asymptomatic nodule on the back. Histological examination showed that circumscribed tumor in the deep dermis and subcutis consisting of spindle cells with mild nuclear atypia arranged in storiform and foci of dendritic pigmented cell. The diagnosis of pigmented dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans was made. The lesion was further resected , and no relapse after 3-month follow up.
