The role of Th17 cells in the pathogenesis of non-segmental vitiligo

Abstract: Currently the most recognized mechanism of non-segmental vitiligo is autoimmune dysregulation. Th17 cells as CD4 + T helper T cell (Th cell) subset, can break immune tolerance, lead to autoimmune destruction of melanocytes and play an important role in the pathogenesis of vitiligo. In this paper the role of Th17 cells in the pathogenesis of vitiligo is reviewed.
