Abstract: Objective: To detect the positivity rate of 14 kinds of specific immunoglobulin G antibodies (sIgG Abs) in the patients with allergic dermatosis in Shiyan, Hubei province, in order to determine the intolerant food. Method: sIgG Abs in 360 patients with allergic dermatosis was detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Results: The positivity rate was 53.89% in all patients and was 78.05% in younger patients, while the positivity rate in adults was 46.76%. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The most common intolerant food was egg (31.11%), followed by milk (11.94%) and codfish (8.89%). The positivity rate in the patients who were intolerant to 2 or more kinds of food was 23.89%. Conclusion: The common food allergens are egg, milk and codfish. The younger the patient is, the higher rate of food intolerance in the group of the patients.
