Abstract: Objective: To detect the RNA expression levels of miR-203 and its downstream targets p63 and survivin in the lesions of keloid. Methods: The RNA levels of miR-203 and its downstream targets p63 and survivin from 30 lesions and 30 normal controls were detected by the quantitative real-time PCR technique. Results: The expression level of miR-203 in the lesions of keloid was dramatically down-regulated which was 0.32±0.16 of the normal controls (P<0.05). While the expression levels of p63 and survivin in the lesions of keloid were sharply up-regulated which were 3.90±0.84 times and 5.11±0.93 times than those in the normal controls respectively(P<0.05). Conclusion: miR-203 and its downstream targets p63 and survivin are probably involved in the pathogenesis of keloid.
