Abstract: Epigenetic regulation is the heritable changes in gene expression under the condition that DNA sequence does not change, including DNA methylation, non coding RNA and histone modification. It has been found that the epigenetic regulation plays an important role in the pathogenesis of keloid. The role of epigenetic regulation in the pathogenesis of keloid is reviewed.

Key words: keloid, epigenetics, DNA methylation, noncoding RNA
