Abstract: Objectives: To assess the changes of microcirculation in the skin and nail fold in the patients with psoriasis vulgaris. Methods: The blood perfusion scores of normal skin or lesions on pretibia and nail fold in 88 patients with psoriasis vulgaris and 100 controls were detected by Laser doppler speckle flowmeter. Results: The scores of skin lesion and normal skin from the patients and controls were (319.96±124.65) BPU, (100.87±19.74) BPU and (60.10±13.90)BPU respectively, with significant differences (Ps<0.05). The score of psoriasis nail fold was (406.31±64.01) BPU, which was higher than that of the normal nail fold in the patients (270.13±69.41) BPU and controls (361.15±113.701) BPU. The blood perfusion score of lesions was strongly positively correlated to PASI scores (P<0.05). Conclusion: The score of microcirculation perfusion in skin and nail fold in the patients with psoriasis vulgaris are higher than normal. The score of microcirculation perfusion of lesion is associated with the severity of the disease.
