Abstract: Objective: To investigate psychological status and personality mentality in the patients with facial sensitive skin. Methods: The psychometric instruments were analyzed by Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ) and Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90). Results: 78 patients and 62 controls were recruited. Scores of psychoticism (P) and nervousness (N) in patients with facial sensitive skin were 4.77±2.01 and 0.78±4.65, which were higher than those in normal controls (3.01±1.71 and 7.31±3.88), with significant differences (P<0.01). SCL-90 scores on obsessive compulsive symptoms, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, hostility, fear factor, paranoia and mental illness in patients with facial sensitive skin were significantly higher than those in notional norm (Ps<0.01).
