Abstract: Objective: To detect the expression level of DUSP1 and DUSP4 in the lesions of psoriasis vulgaris. Methods: The mRNA and protein level of DUSP1 and DUSP4 from 18 psoriasis lesions and 15 normal skin were detected by real-time PCR and Western blot respectively. Results: The levels of mRNA and protein of DUSP1 from psoriasis lesions were (0.0939±0.0048) and (0.5165±0.0254), which were lower than those in the normal skin (0.2486±0.0060 and 1.2432±0.3260), with significant differences (Ps<0.05). There were no significant differences of mRNA and protein of DUSP1 in the psoriasis lesions (0.3718 ±0.0370) and (0.8018 ±0.0770) and normal skin (0.3645±0.0286) and (1.3677±0.2287) (Ps>0.05). Conclusion: The level of DUSP1 in the psoriasis lesions decreases which may be related to the pathogenesis and development of psoriasis vulgaris.
