Abstract: Objective: To analyze the association between the loci polymorphisms of IL-33, IL1RL1 gene and atopic dermatitis (AD). Methods: The allele and genotype frequencies of IL-33 and IL1RL1 encoding genes in 89 AD patients and 138 normal controls were detected by PCR-SSP. Results: The allele frequency of IL-33 gene rs1800925 C in the AD patients was higher than that in the controls. The allele frequencies of IL-33 gene rs1800925 T and rs764706552 G in the AD patients were lower than those in the controls (Ps<0.001). The CC and CG genotypes frequencies of IL-33 rs1800925 and rs764706552 were significantly positively correlated with AD (Ps<0.001). There was no significant difference in the frequencies of alleles and genotypes of IL1RL1 gene between the two groups (Ps>0.05). Conclusion: rs1800925 and rs764706552 SNPs of IL-33 gene may be associated with the development of AD.
