Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans: a case report

Abstract: Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a rare soft tissue tumor tha typically presents as a slowly growing. We report a forty-siven-year-old female with DFSP, who presented with firm plaque on the midsection. The patient was diagnosed according to the features of clinical manifestations, histopathology and immunohistochemistry. The lesion was treated with extended surgical resection, then radiotherapy one month after the operation, and no recurrence for more than 2 years follow-up.
