Clinical analysis of 43 childhood patients with generalized pustular psoriasis

Abstract: The clinical data of 43 childhood patients (22 males and 21 females) with generalized pustular psoriasis was retrospectively analyzed. Twenty six patients were von Zumbusch type, 8 were annulus type and 9 were localized. The average age at onset was from 2 months to 14 years and the average age at diagnosis was (6.58±4.57). The onset started in autumn in 15 patients, in summer in 11, in winter in 9 and in spring in 8. The inducing cause of the disease was infection in 27 patients and 36 patients had fever. The initial lesion was sterile pustule on a erythematous base.
