Abstract: Objective: To detect the polymorphisms of REL (v-rel avian reticuloendotheliosis viral oncogene homolog) in Han nationality of Inner Mongolia. Methods:DNA was extracted from the peripheral blood of 301 patients and 292 healthy controls. The polymorphisms of REL gene (rs702873, rs842636, rs13031237 and rs13017599) were genotyped by PCR-based ligase detection reaction (PCR-LDR). Results: The genotype frequencies of rs702873 and rs842636 in the patients were 0.126 and 0.128 and those in controls were 0.182 and 0.181, with significant difference (P<0.05) .There was a linkage disequilibrium of rs702873 and rs842636. There was no significant difference in rs13031237 and rs13017599 between the patients and controls (P>0.05). Conclusions: The polymorphisms of REL gene (rs702873 and rs842636) are associated with psoriasis vulgaris in Han nationality of Inner Mongolia.
