Abstract: Drug-induced hypersensitivity syndrome (DIHS) is a type of adverse drug reaction. Patients usually have fever, skin lesions, multiple enlarged lymph nodes, eosinophilia and liver damage. Epidemiological survey showed that the mortality rate was as high as 10% to 20%. Recent years, researches reported that the occurrence of DIHS was to be associated with some human leukocyte antigen (HLA) alleles. The update of genetic susceptibility of DIHS induced by carbamazepine, allopurinol, aminosulfone, arbaca and nevirapine is reviewed in this article.
